About the Silver Jewellery Making Days

Tutor Janet Richardson

These workshops are for beginners or those with experience.

  • You will learn and add to your core jewellery making skills.
  • Core skills include: marking out, saw piercing, filing, soldering, texturing, basic stone setting, polishing – to name a few
  • The days are designed for you to have a finished piece or two and also learn the techniques needed to become independent and design your own pieces.
  • You will leave with beautiful pieces to wear and added skills
  • For the more experienced you will be shown a new piece you can make or a new skill to add to yours.

If you are unsure what to make on the day I have projects, examples and ideas you can follow.

  • About the Silver Metal Clay Days
  • Tutor Janet Richardson

The objective of the day is to enable you to use a pack of silver metal clay and be able to use this at home.

You will make three items and learn many techniques including texturing, rolling, cutting, forming, stone setting, sintering, cleaning up and polishing.

I keep the metal clay making skills separate from traditional jewellery making skills you learn on the Silver Jewellery Days. This enables you to go home, buy some metal clay and feel you can make your own pieces independently after a one day workshop with me

A 10gm pack of Silver Art Clay and a stone to set is included with the cost of the day.

More packets of metal clay can be purchased from Janet
